WIP painting, about 2hrs in PSCS6

WIP of a painting, this time in color! I have most of the face finished and it’s about an hour in of work. Mostly what I got out of this so far has been: color is haaaarrddd :”V The end.

Anyone who can guess the person I’m painting from this clip is a huge nerd (and deserves some sweet hugs).

RDJ, from his stint as Sherlock Holmes. Ref used , ~2 1/2 hrs, PS. 

Attempted to paint Cillian Murphy. Kind of messed up in some places, so it doesn’t look quite like him. Almost though! XD Photo ref used. About 2 1/2 hours in PS.

Painting practice of the 11th Doctor, ~2hrs, PS. Ref used. 

I’ve actually been drawing a bunch for this children’s book series lately, but I haven’t had much time to draw for myself! So, I went through my inspiration folders and found that picture of Matt Smith, looking particularly emotional. I really wanted to see if I could capture him, since his features are so distinct (but delicate)! I think I got him (mostly). At least, I hope I did!

more painting practice, used another ref, which can be found here~ a lot of small mistakes here that throw off the exact likeness but… I’m not gonna worry about them too much. About 1 1/2 hours? One layer in PS.
